Mindfulness Sitting Group

$65Purchase required to enroll

Learned mindfulness meditation but having trouble keeping up the practice by yourself? Seem like life is too crazy and your mind too much of a mess for this ever to work?

Vietnamese Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh said it best: “no mud, no lotus.”

It’s a brilliant metaphor: those beautiful lotus blossoms grow out of seeds planted in muck. Our messy lives are the perfect place to start; we’re not doing it wrong. Whatever their Instagram feeds look like, no one lives a life free of suffering. The trick is to learn how to be wherever we find ourselves without resisting— without insisting that reality be otherwise.

Come remind yourself of how pausing—especially in community—can help you rediscover this. You’re welcome whether or not you already have a mindfulness practice, although you might want to try Mindfulness 101 first if the practice is new to you.
