Yoga for Better Balance

Improving your balance has benefits beyond just being able to stand on one foot. Better balance helps to prevent falls and injuries, while improving focus and relieving stress. Yoga is an amazing tool for maintaining and honing balance skills, so that we can move with more ease and confidence.

In this workshop, we will explore both static and moving balance, with an emphasis on standing poses. Learn the factors that affect balance and how yoga can help. Discover how postures you may not think of as balances can be adapted to build your balance skills. Challenge yourself, and have some fun along the way!

Instructor Bio:

Sarah Knox, E-RYT, EdY has been teaching yoga since 1997, when she was certified in ISHTA yoga by Alan Finger. She received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification from Betsy Kase. Sarah is certified in The Fishman Method: Yoga for Osteoporosis. She is a graduate of the Yoga Educator (EdY) program at The Breathing Project, where she studied yoga anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and embryology, with Amy Matthews and Leslie Kaminoff.

Cancellation policy Workshop refund policy: Up to 7 days in advance, deposit will be refunded by check, less15% processing fee. Up to 2 days in advance, deposit minus 15% processing fee will be credited to your studio account for use within 1 year of
cancellation; less than 2 days in advance there will be no refund. Each situation will be assessed individually, however by registering you agree to abide by these policies.
