If you’ve taken a yoga class, you’ve likely been led through some form of pranayama and meditation. In this two part workshop, you will have the opportunity to take a deeper dive into these limbs of the yoga practice. Learn about the physiological effect and potential benefits. Explore different practices and when each might be most appropriate, ie a cooling breath for summer or an energizing breath to get you going in the morning. Experiment with different meditation practices to find what works best for you. Take your yoga practice beyond the the physical poses.

Instructor Bio:

Sarah Knox, E-RYT, EdY, has been teaching yoga since 1997, when she was certified in ISHTA yoga by Alan Finger. She received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification from Betsy Kase. Sarah is certified in The Fishman Method: Yoga for Osteoporosis. She is a graduate of the Yoga Educator (EdY) program at The Breathing Project, where she studied yoga anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and embryology, with Amy Matthews and Leslie Kaminoff.



Cancellation policy Workshop refund policy: up to 7 days in advance deposit will be refunded by check, less 15% processing fee per person; up to 2 days in advance deposit minus 15% processing fee will be credited to your studio account for use within 1 year of cancellation; less than 2 days in advance there will be no refund. Each situation will be assessed individually, however by registering you agree to abide by these policies.
